Discover the Power of Science @ the Katahira Festival

We experience the power of science everyday. From the electricity that lights and heats our homes, to the trains that connect us to our destinations throughout the city.

From October 11~12, in a fun-filled weekend of behind-the-scenes tours, the general public is invited visit Tohoku University's world class research institutes to increase their understanding of the impact that research has on the wider community.

School children of all ages will be able to enjoy experiments in the laboratory through workshops held at the Katahira, Seiryo and Aobayama Campuses. So come down, engage with technology and discover the power of science!
