Tohoku University is celebrating its Founders Day on June 22, with a couple of online alumni gatherings under the slogan "Time to Unite ~Tohoku University~" It's an opportunity for members to get together and catch up on the latest news from campus.
Participating faculty and staff will share recent initiatives of Tohoku University.
And alumni will get the chance to reconnect and network with each other as well as relive some of their favorite memories of Sendai and Tohoku University.
This event is open to all past and present members of the university, but registration is required.

Alumni who are unable to attend, can plan their own "Time to Unite!" online gathering. Simply inform the university of the date and time in advance, to receive a supporting message, and special pictures of iconic buildings and campus scenes that can be used as Zoom backgrounds.
With travel still restricted, the university is encouraging all alumni chapters to post about online gatherings with the tag #TimeToUniteTU2020 so that the information can be shared with other Tohoku University members worldwide.
