Recruitment notice: Tohoku University Program for Recruiting Female Faculty Members

Tohoku University is actively seeking highly qualified female candidates for faculty positions as part of its commitment to promoting gender equality. This program hires women researchers with diverse perspectives as members of the Tohoku University faculty and provides them with a wide range of support, including for research skill development and balancing work-life commitments. The program's goal is to cultivate women leaders endowed with broad expertise and insight.

Positions available:

The following institutes are recruiting candidates.

(1)

School of Law
One assistant professor or senior assistant professor (5 year term)

  • Researchers will be responsible for promoting research in Law, Political Science and Sociology
(2)

Research Institute of Electrical Communication
One assistant professor (6 years) or associate professor position (7 years)

  • Researchers will be responsible for promoting research in Information and Communication Technology
(3)

Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials
One assistant professor position (5 year term)

  • Researchers will be responsible for promoting research in Engineering, Science, and Material Science

Qualifications: Applicants need to be female researchers who hold a doctorate, or will do so by the hiring date.
