The president of the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-Just) Ahmed El-Gohary, paid a courtesy visit to Tohoku University President Susumu Satomi on July 12. They discussed ways to promote future exchanges and cooperation between the two institutions.
Executive Vice President for General Affairs and International Relations Toshiya Ueki, Professor Tatsuo Omura and Professor Hideki Harada of the New Industry Creation Hatchery Center, Associate Professor Kengo Kubota of the School of Engineering, and Professor Emeritus Yoshihiro Kimura were also at the meeting.
The group later stopped by the School of Engineering, where they met with Dean Hirotsugu Takizawa.
