The UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction begins in Sendai today and will run until March 18.
Tohoku University continues to provide specialist scientific, technological and humanitarian support to aid reconstruction in the Tohoku region. The university will hold events to share the lessons learned from the Great East Japan Earthquake, as well as research results and ongoing activity.
