Distinguished Professor 2018 - Kazuhiro Kosuge

Kazuhiro Kosuge of the Graduate School of Engineering has been named a Tohoku University Distinguished Professor. He was recommended by the department head and approved by a select committee. The title is effective from December 1, 2018.

Kosuge is a professor with the Department of Robotics, and is also the IEEE's 2019 vice president-elect for technical activities.

The Tohoku University Distinguished Professor System is a program that supports professorial staff who have made a sustained contribution of educational excellence. The activities of Distinguished Professors are expected to inspire teaching staff and students.
