Tohoku University and Tsinghua University have set up a joint research fund to encourage collaborative research. Based on an agreement made last December, both universities are now inviting applications from researchers who would like to use the funds for joint projects in the 2019 academic year.
To apply, submit an application form by March 8, 2019 after consultation with appropriate colleagues at Tsinghua University.
Online Application Period:
From January 31, 2019 to March 8, 2019. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on the final day.

Funding Period:
Tohoku University: From April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2021
Tsinghua University: From April 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020
※As the fiscal year at both universities differs, the funding period also differs.
