Senator Sergei Mikhailovich Mironov and visiting party (consisting of 11members) from Russia visited Museum of Natural History, Graduate School of Sciences, Tohoku University. After greeting by President Inoue, Director Nagahiro at Museum of Natural History explained about sample resources. Because Senator Mironov has a career working as geological scientist in Ministry of Geology (former Soviet Union), he listened intently and asked a number of questions.

Currently Miyagi Prefecture has been promoting exchange between Russia thus, Senator Mironov only visited Miyagi Prefecture after attending the conference held in Tokyo with Prime Minister Aso and others.
