Associate Director Krerk Piromsopa and Associate Professor Twittie Senivongse Faculty of Engineering (Chulalongkorn University) visited Executive Vice President Ueki (for International Affairs and Legal Affairs at Tohoku University) on 11 March, 2009.
Tohoku University and Chulalongkorn University have academic agreements within 4 departments.

(2)Between Graduate School of Sciences (Tohoku Uni) and Faculty of Sciences (Chulalongkorn Uni) (February, 2003)
(3)Educational Informatics Education Divisions (Tohoku Uni) and Faculty of Education (Chulalongkorn Uni) (August, 2005)
(4) Graduate School of Sciences (Tohoku Uni) and Faculty of Economics (Chulalongkorn Uni) (March, 2008)

Professor Nakao (Educational Informatics Education Divisions, Tohoku University) invited them this time, and this opportunity may enhance the exchange between both universities. During the discussion with Vice President Ueki, it was agreed that both universities improve the academic agreements further to university level, and promote exchange of researchers and students between two universities.

Chulalongkorn University is one of traditional Royal University which represent of Thai Land. This university originated from The Royal Pages School which was founded to cultivate human resources for innovation of the nation in 1902. In 1917, Chulalongkorn University was given its status as university by the king at that time, and named Chulalongkorn by referring to the name of former king. The university consists of 17 faculties; Arts, Sciences, Architectures, Commerce, Politics, Economics, Education, Engineering, Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Law, and Pharmacy. The total 19,000 students study at the university.
