Tohoku University Crisis Management Headquarter has made a decision to prohibit Tohoku University employees and students from official traveling to Mexico, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Spain from May 12, 2009 until further notice.
A wide spread of Influenza A(H1N1) infection has been detected in Mexico, United States, and Canada and there is a possibility for the infection to spread widely in United Kingdom and Spain.

Individuals who return, or travel, from one of the five countries mentioned above is required to stay home for 7 days in principle after his/her arrival to Japan. For more details, please see "Influenza A (H1N1) Guidelines".
