Professor Shigeru Obayashi at Transdisciplinary Fluid Integration Research Center, Institute of Fluid Science, Tohoku University was awarded KAWAI Medal from THE JAPAN SOCIETY FOR COMPUTATIONAL ENGINEERING AND SCIENCE. This prize was named in memory of Professor Tadahiko Kawai who was the first president of the society. KAWAI Medal is awarded to researchers younger than 50 years old, and significantly contribute to development of the society or computational engineering and science.
