First succeeded in development and international standardization of NEMO-MIB (Network Mobility Management Information Base), a key technology to monitor and manage Mobile Network

A joint research group led by Professor Norio Shiratori at Research Institute of Electrical Communication, Tohoku University and Cyber Solutions Inc., Sendai has first developed NEMO-MIB (Network Mobility Management Information Base) in Strategic Information and Communications R&D Promotion Program (SCOPE) supported by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. NEMO-MIB is a key technology as the heart to monitor and manage new Mobile Network in the next-generation ubiquitous network. The group has also succeeded in international standardization of the technology approved by Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) on April 14, 2009.

The exiting network is fixed. Development of a new technology to manage Mobile Network including those are installed in bullet trains, vehicles, or buses is highly expected. The newly developed NEMO-MIB is the first technology for continuous remote monitoring of new Mobile Network in the next-generation ubiquitous network. NEMO-MIB can quickly analyze and diagnose Mobile Network that connects to any networks in the world. The new technology is expected be an essential key technology for network businesses to operate and maintain stably and efficiently. Seamless use of network will be possible in bullet trains or buses in the same way as in an office or a home.
