Response for the group infection of influenza A (H1N1) taken by Tohoku University 2009.8.18
Tohoku University discovered that students belonging to the Swimming club participated in Athleticmeet held on outside of Miyagi Prefecture had been detected to be infected the influenza A (H1N1) on 17th of August. Now students infected the influenza A (H1N1) are treating themselves at home and their conditions are confirmed to be not severe.
In terms of the prevention for the further expansion of infection, the University instructed participants of the Seven Universities Athleticmeet to stand by at home, to check their health, and to take appropriate action from 17th to 23rd of August. In addition the University instructed the Swimming club to halt activity from 17th to 23rd of August.
Please pay attention to the prevention measure for the infection when you participate in any competition and meeting as extracurricular activities.
