Tohoku University discovered that two students belonging to the Table tennis club participated in the Seven Universities Athleticmeet had flue-like symptoms such as fever and diagnosed as the influenza A (H1N1) positive. Now students infected the influenza A (H1N1) are treating themselves at home and their conditions are confirmed to be not severe.

In terms of the prevention for the further expansion of infection, the University instructed participants of the Seven Universities Athleticmeet to stand by at home, to check their health, and to take appropriate action from 19th to 25th of August. In addition the University instructed the Swimming club to halt activity from 19th to 25th of August.

Please pay attention to the prevention measure for the infection when you participate in any competition and meeting as extracurricular activities.
