Professor Hideo Takeuchi received The Spectroscopical Society of Japan Award
Professor Hideo Takeuchi at Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Tohoku University received The Spectroscopical Society of Japan Award on November 16, 2009. The presentation ceremony and award lectures were held at 2009 Annual Meeting of SPSJ at The Centennial Hall, Tokyo Institute of Technology.
The prize is awarded to researchers for their outstanding achievements in spectroscopy and its related fields, and for their significant contribution to the academic development.
Professor Takeuchi has been praised for his expanding application range of Raman Spectroscopy to amino-acid side chain in proteins. His research has been on the development and application of knowledge base for Roman Spectroscopic Analysis of Protein Structure.
