The presentation ceremony of Tohoku University Professor Genkuro Fujino Award was held at Lu Xun lecture hall with attendance of Takeshi Ebata, Chairman of Miyagi Japan-China Friendship Association, on December 21, 2009.

 This prize was established to commemorate Professor Fujino’s achievements. Lu Xun’s novel “Mr. Fujino” was based on the professor. Lu Xun was a student of Sendai Medical School, the predecessor of Tohoku University.

 Professor Genkuro Fujino Award is given to our talented graduate students from china who are expected to achieve major results in the future. 5 students received a diploma and a testimonial from President Akihisa Inoue.
