2009 The Association for Earthquake Disaster Prevention Award
Kenji Tachibana, Technician at Division of Geophysical Technology, Research Center for Prediction of Earthquake and Volcanic Eruptions, Tohoku University has received 2009 The Association for Earthquake Disaster Prevention Award. The reason to be awarded is Mr. Tachibana’s longtime contribution to the operation and maintenance of earthquake and crustal movement observation site, and to data collection in the university.
The Association for Earthquake Disaster Prevention gives the award to a person for the achievement in prevention and mitigation of earthquake and volcanic disasters by contributing to the collection, management and maintenance of important observation records.
