The Iijima Memorial Foundation for the Promotion of Food Science and Technology Prize

 Professor Teruo Mitazawa at Graduate School of Agricultural Science, Tohoku University has received the Iijima Memorial Foundation for the Promotion of Food Science and Technology Prize. The reason to be awarded is his “research on polyphenol absorption and metabolism and its antioxidative function.”

 

 The prize is given to researchers for their outstanding achievements in food science, especially in researches on food-processing technology, food materials, qualities and safety. The Iijima Memorial Foundation has praised ten researchers in 25 years since its establishment. Tohoku University has first produced a recipient.
