Assistant Professor Taketoshi Minato at International Advanced Research and Education Organization, Tohoku University has received 2010 Incentive Award of Comprehensive Research from Foundation for the Promotion of Engineering Research.

 The award is given to promising young researchers for their outstanding achievements in various fields. Assistant Professor Minato has been praised for his elucidation of properties including of metal oxides, metal clusters and organic semiconductor crystals at the atomic or molecular level using a scanning tunneling microscope.
