Professor Fumihiko Imamura and Associate Professor Shiyunichi Koshimura at Disaster Control Research Center, Graduate School of Engineering, Tohoku University have received 2009 Best Paper Award from Japan Society of Civil Engineers.

 The paper’s title is “Developing fragility functions for tsunami damage estimation using numerical model and post-tsunami data from Banda Aceh, Indonesia.”
