Professor Naoki Yoshihara at Graduate School of Arts and Letters, Tohoku University has received the 3rd Japan Association of Regional and Community Studies Award for his work titled “Mobility and Place – Turning of Urban Space in the 21st Century” published by University of Tokyo Press in 2008. Professor Yoshihira has been praised for his significantly raising the theoretical and empirical levels on local community studies.
