Professor Masahiro Hirama at Graduate School of Science, Tohoku University has received 51st Fujihara Award from the Fujihara Foundation of Science for his “Comprehensive Research on Bioactive Natural Products mainly including Total Synthesis of Ciguatoxin.” The presentation ceremony was held at Gakushikaikan, Tokyo on June 17, 2010.
