Receiving the SJWS Promising Science Award (Masae TAKAHASHI: Associate Professor, Graduate School of Agricultural Science, Tohoku University)
Masae Takahashi, Associate Professor at Graduate School of Agricultural Science, Tohoku University, was awarded the SJWS (the Society of Japanese Women Scientists) promising science award for her research on “The construction of elemental unit for high-functional silicon π-electron nanomaterials by fi
rst-principles calculations”. The award has been granted annually to honor a few women scientists for their outstanding achievement in science. The award ceremony and commemorative lecture will be held at Arcadia Ichigaya, Tokyo, on June 27, 2010.
