Young Investor's Award from NO Society of Japan (NOSJ)
Assistant Professor Kimio Satoh at Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine has received the Highest Award, Young Investor’s Award from NO Society of Japan (NOSJ) at the 6th International Conference.
Nitric oxide (NO) takes an extremely important role in maintaining homeostasis in the body. NOSJ was established in 1998 when three researchers on NO received Nobel Prize, and has held international conferences biennially through the world. The 2010 conference has been held in Kyoto through June 14 to 18, 2010. Assistant Professor Satoh was selected to receive the Highest Award from among 7 nominees in and out of Japan. His research is on “Cyclophilin A is an inflammatory mediator that promotes atherosclerosis.”
