Teruo Miyazawa, Professor at Graduate School of Agriculture, Tohoku University and Chairman of the invitation committee, received Prize for Attracting and Holding International Conferences from Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO).  Professor Miyazawa has successfully invited 12th Asian Congress of Nutrition, which will be held in Yokohama in 2015.  This prize was established in 2008 in order to promote people’s understanding significance of attracting and holding international conferences and to improve social reputation of hosts and host cities.  The presentation ceremony will be held at Tokyo International Forum on December 8, 2010.
