A Research Group led Professor Tetsuya Terasaki at Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Tohoku University received 2010 AAPS Pharmaceutical Research Meritorious Manuscript Award

 A research group led by Professor Tetsuya Terasaki and Associate Professor Sumio Ohtsuki at Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Tohoku University received 2010 AAPS Pharmaceutical Research Meritorious Manuscript Award at the Annual Meeting of American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) held in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 15, 2010. The award was given to the best paper for high scientific impact, demonstrating new concepts and new experimental procedures among 285 manuscripts published in Pharmaceutical Research in 2008.

 

 The paper’s title is “Quantitative atlas of membrane transporter proteins : Development and application of a highly sensitive simultaneous L C / M S / M S method combined with novel in-silico peptide selection criteria” (25: 1469-1483 (2008)).

 

 The newly developed method described in the paper is expected to be applied to pharmacoproteomics including basic researchers, drug discovery science and clinical diagnosis.
