Double Chooz Reactor Neutrino Experiment
Tohoku University Research Center for Neutrino Science has participated in the Double Chooz collaboration. In Double Chooz reactor neutrino experiment*, the construction of a neutrino detector was completed and data collection of neutrino will start. A press release was issued in France on December 23, 2010. The research will help clarify an important property of particles, and further progress neutrino experiments.
* Double Chooz experiment detects neutrino oscillations and conducts experiments to measure the neutrino mixing angle Θ13 (theta-13).
Double Chooz experiment device. The neutrino detector on the right side will be used this time.
