Message from Dean :Graduate School of Information Sciences
Some damage within the University has been caused by the Pacific Ocean Earthquake of a historic magnitude. We are, however, relieved to be able to report no human loss in our graduate school. Although some facilities and equipments of the school were inevitably damaged in the earthquake, we have ensured safety on all of our buildings.
Our academic environment is being gradually restored through the tremendous efforts of all the members of the School. Very soon we will be ready to make contributions to education, research, and in a greater scheme of things, society in general with a renewed vigor.
In particular, I would like to remark on the issue of the radiation caused by the nuclear power plant disaster in Fukushima, as students from abroad must have been concerned with. The Cyclotron and Radioisotope Center of the University has dedicated itself to monitoring radiation levels nearby the University, and all the readings they have made prove to be within the normal range.

Within the city of Sednai, the daily life is getting back to the normal. We ask you not to worry overly, and not to be affected by unsubstantiated rumors.
We ask your corporations once again.

Dean of Graduate School of Information Sciences
