President's Education Award is presented to faculty members for their outstanding achievements in education based on the university's philosophy. Recipients were received an award certificate from the president at the President Room on April 1, 2011.

 The recipients are below:

Assistant Professor Satoru Shimuzu

Graduate School of Science

He has improved Analysis Classes, giving exercise questions to his students in every class to have them establish their understanding, and received a high reputation from students.

Peofessor Eimei Sato

Graduate School of Agricultural Science

He has published a lot of textbooks and experiment manuals about animal technology, and his classes using these books were received a high reputation from students. In addition, he has contributed to the development of human resources with frontier spirit.

Professor Mitsuyuki Nakao

Graduate School of Information Science

He has made a great contribution to the internationalization and industry-academia collaboration, through the education of information technology and Japanese Language for foreign students from Asia, based on Program for developing and settling IT human resources from Asia to create regions through industry-academia cooperation (ASIST).

Professor Toshiyuki Takagi

Graduate Schoool of Engineering

They have made a great contribution to international exchange activities, promoting the conclusion of university agreement of student exchange with foreign countries, and conducting Joint Education Program and Summer Program.

They have made a great contribution to promoting internationalization, offering information about our education and research activities to foreign countries and attracting foreign students, through planning and conducting "Tohoku University Day" events and other international public relations activities.
