A research group led by Professor Satoshi Tadokoro at Graduate School of Information Sciences, Tohoku University, and Associate Professor Keiji Nagatani at Graduate School of Engineering, Tohoku University, through a collaborate research with a research group led by Professor Eiji Koyanagi at Chiba Institute of Technology and International Rescue System Institute, is going to dispatch Quince, a rescue robot, to Fukushima nuclear power plant for exploration at the request of Tokyo Electric Power Company.
