Tohoku University Orienteering Club and Yoshitaka Fukasawa of Tohoku University received Incentive Prizes, 2011 Sendai City Sports Award. These prizes are given to groups and individuals for their outstanding achievements in amateur sports.

The presentation ceremony was held at Koyo Grand Hotel, Sendai on February 6, 2012.
