Professor Kengo Kinoshita at Graduate School of Information Sciences, Tohoku University was chosen to receive the 8th JSPS Prize from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).

 The prize is given to future academic research leaders who are expected to be Nobel nominees in order to promote their studies to lead breakthroughs.

 The presentation ceremony will be held at Japan Academy Hall on February 27, 2011.
