2012 President's Education Award
President’s Education Award is given to faculty members for their outstanding achievements in education based on the university’s philosophy. The presentation ceremony has been held at Sendai Gymnasium on March 27, 2012.

Associate Professor Minoru Katsuyama
Graduate School of International Cultural Studies
He has improved Humanities Classes for a long time with the emphasis on intrinsic motivation of students and received a high reputation from students.
“Advanced Mathematics and Physics for Special Education Project” Steering Committee
Graduate School of Science
Supported by “Math and Science Student Support Project” by MEXT, they have contributed to fostering human resources skilled in Math and Science, providing exchange education between departments for selected students, short-term overseas education program and special lectures by a dedicated assistant professor.

Professor Toshikuni Yonemoto
Graduate School of Engineering
They have introduced and promoted system construction for education by portfolio and received a high reputation as a guarantee of educational quality.
Professor Hitoshi Yonekura
Graduate School of Agricultural Science
In international exchange activities between Indonesia, he has made a great contribution to international exchange activities, promoting the conclusion of agreement between universities, construction of the double degree program and educational activities in International Program in Liberal Arts.
PEM Education Program Committee
Through GCOE Education Program, they have made a great contribution to our Doctoral Program by fostering doctoral students highly skilled in Environmental Studies and establishing multicareer path.
