On July 29, the 23rd The Royal Institution Christmas Lectures 2012 were presented at the Tohoku University Kawauchi Hagi Hall.

 Professor Bruce Hood of the University of Bristol presented a lecture titled Meet Your Brain on the surprising function and structure of the brain. Approximately 400 people including elementary and middle school students and the general public participated and enjoyed the unique experiments and demonstrations.
