Prof. Motoyuki Sato at Center for Northeast Asian Studies (CNEAS) was awarded 2012 IEEE GRSS Education Award at IGARSS, held in Munich, Germany on 23rd July, 2012. This award will be presented to a researcher who has significantly contributed to education in remote sensing. Dr. Sato has conducted education and intensive lectures on Ground Penetrating Radar and Microwave Remote Sensing not only in Japan but also other countries including China and Russia.
