Professor Eiji Saitoh of the Advanced Institute for Materials Research, Atomic and Molecular Materials Science, Advanced Research Organization won the 11th Docomo Mobile Science Award.

The Docomo Mobile Science Award is awarded to researchers under the age of 50 based on their achievements in research contained in their published work such as research papers, books, articles in published journals, and publicly disclosed reports in hopes of further successes and endeavors.

The award presented to Professor Saitoh is the Award of Excellence in Basic Sciences.
