This building is widely known as the "Lecture theater by Lu Xun," where a great figure of literature, Lu Xun, who is called "the father of modern Chinese literature," used to study.
Although it went through repair, removal, and reconstruction after it was built in 1904, it still creates a historical atmosphere that is reminiscent of the days when he studied in Sendai.
Many Chinese people have visited this room, writing down their words on the blackboard each in their own ways.
Among them, impressively, Jiang Zemin visited the lecture theater on 29 in November, 1998. He took the seat in which Lu Xun is reported to have usually used, thereby honoring his memory with deep feeling.
