Tohoku University has been chosen as one of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s ‘Global 30’ scheme project centers for the improvement and support of internationalization. The University Centre for Internationalization project has been named ‘Future Global Leadership at Tohoku University’. Serving as a hub for our nation’s internationalization, the university aims to provide the high quality international learning environment appropriate to a world leading educational establishment with the achievement of research and education of the highest international standard as its foundation. With the particular aim of producing individuals who can take on active roles on a global scale, this university is once again preparing to strengthen and expand its internationalization efforts.
