Tohoku University established the Japanese Inter-University Russia Office in Moscow State University as a part of the project for the Japanese government's "Global 30 Program". We are dedicated to international exchange, promoting international research and nurturing students who will be active on a global scale.
The Japan-Russia University Fair will be held in ANO "The Japan Center"at Moscow State University from 10:00 am to 3:30pm on December 8, 2011 (no entrance fee). We welcome students and researchers who are interested in studying, and implementing research projects in Japan.

]]>In the morning of February 22, special session is planned inviting Dr. J. Georg Bednorz, 1987 Nobel Prize in Physics Laureate, Dr. Peter Gru"nberg, 2007 Nobel Prize in Physics Laureate, and Dr. Sumio Iijima of Meijo University , also Adjunct Professor of WPI-AIMR, a receipient of the Japanese Order of Culture in 2009.
We will have plenary sessions and parallel sessions by world premier researchers. For encouraging younger researchers and further discussing the fusion research we have a poster session.

Meeting on International Student Exchanges among Pacific Rim University (PRUM) was held at Aoba Memorial Hall on 16th (Mon) and 17th (Tue) of February, 2009.This meeting was organized based on "the Program to Accelerate the Internationalization of University Education (Japanese Government. Support for Long-term Study Abroad" and personal meetings and workshop were held. Total of 8 oversea participants took part in this meeting from University of California (USA) and Sydney University (Australia), and from Tohoku University, the president Inoue, Vice President Ueki, Vice President Hashimoto, Vice President Kimoto and other faculty members participated in the meeting.
Participants discussed about the issue associated with promotion of international exchanges, and the future direction of exchanges, and the meeting got a good reputation especially from participants from overseas. Tohoku University will evaluate the criteria discussed on the meeting and reflect practical applications efficiently on International common educational program as well as strengthening the cooperative relationships and international exchanges.
