1.One more charter bus which departs from Sanjo at9:50 on weekdays to Aobayama is running.

2.The Bus Stop “School of Engineering West” is moving on October 29.

3.The Bus Stop “Katahira” has been temporary moved in front of Sakura Hall due to the construction around North Gate.

 That work is scheduled to continue until November 17.

 After the completion of the work, the bus stop will be returned to the front of Extended Education & Research Building.

Information on travel to abroad

Tohoku University no longer prohibits or restricts traveling overseas. However, infection of influenza A (H1N1) has still been spreading in Southern Hemisphere (such as Australia and etc.), and some patients infected with influenza A (H1N1) after returning from overseas has been detected in Japan. Thus, the University strongly recommends the staffs and the students to avoid crowds and to ensure taking preventive measures by referring to Cough Etiquette for the New Influenza A (H1N1) Infection, how to wash your hands properly, and how to wear and take off a flu mask properly.

Furthermore, you who return from influenza A (H1N1) detected nations are obligated to check body conditions and measure body temperatures for 7 days including your arrival date in Japan. You should submit the health check sheet to Dean or Director.

If you have flu-like symptom (fever, runny nose etc.), before you come to the university, please ask for advice by calling the number above.

Information on Business/private travel to influenza A (H1N1) detected areas in Japan

Tohoku University no longer prohibits or restricts traveling to influenza A (H1N1) detected areas with numbers of patients or people who have close contact with patients in Japan. However, travelers to those areas should avoid crowds and ensure taking preventive measures such as washing your hands, wearing a mask, and Cough Etiquette.

People returning from those areas are required the health-check for 7 days, and to submit the health checksheet to Dean or Director.*note

When you have symptoms such as a 38 to 40-degree fever, chills, myalgia, or diarrhea, do not come to the university, and call Health Administration Center for advice.

Note: Tohoku University will update information on areas with numbers of patients or people who have close contact with patients, and those areas are expected to increase. Please visit the university website.
