• Education
  • The academic calender was decided at today's meeting of the Education and Research Council: Opening Ceremony will be held on May 6, Special Seminar for Incoming Students will be held on May 7, lectures will begin on May 9. Lectures for 2nd year students will begin May 9. Lectures for 3rd and 4th year students and graduate students will begin from April 25 onward, depending on the readiness of the department.

• Social Contribution
  • Changed title to "Social Contributions by Tohoku University Related to the Great East Japan Earthquake".
  • Each department will submit reports of social contributions; these will be compiled later.
• Volunteer Activities
  • Explanation of request for volunteers from the Yamamoto Town Social Welfare Council.
