Gakuyu-kai

Gakuyu-kai(The Students' Friendship Association) is a university-wide organization for voluntary sports and non-sports activities outside of academic study. The Association welcomes faculty members, staff, and students. It is supported by membership fees to run activities such as the University Festival, a Welcome Party for New Students, a Maritime Sports Day, and different club activities. The University is expecting that the students are acquiring non-sports achievements through their active participation in and enjoyment of various events and club activities of the Students Friendship Association.

Organizations of the Gakuyu-kai(Students' Friendship Association)

The Gakuyu-kai Association comprises divisions of General Affairs, Sports Affairs, Non-sports Affairs, Life Affairs, and Public Relations. The All-campus Council is its decision-making body; the Steering Committee is its policy making body. There are 24 Non-sports Affairs groups and 45 Sports Affairs groups. In addition, there are quasi-member groups, selected based on the application submitted chartered by the "Rules of Students' Organizations, Gatherings, Announcements and Distributions of Documents". They are organized under either the Non-sports or Sports Affairs divisions.
