The Suito and Chiba laboratories at the Advanced Institute for Materials Research (AIMR) welcome applicants for two assistant professors or postdoctoral researchers to work on collaborative research between mathematical and medical sciences.
Successful applicants will become members of the mathematical science team in the Japan Science and Technology Agency moonshot program "Challenge for Eradication of Diabetes and Comorbidities through Understanding and Manipulating Homeostatic Systems."
The position will also involve the following research topics:
- Mathematical modeling and analyses for circulatory and serious systems
- Mathematical approaches and their implementations aimed at unification of experiments and computation, including data assimilation or uncertainty quantifications
The position serves the research for mathematical science in collaboration with professors Hayato Chiba and Hiroshi Suito and other researchers at AIMR.
