Recruitment Notice: Associate Professor (Institute for Materials Research)

The Advanced Crystal Engineering Research Laboratory at the Institute for Materials Research, Tohoku University, is recruiting for the following position.

Job Description

  • Conduct research on the development of crystalline materials and crystal growth technologies, or on practical applications of crystalline materials.
  • Contribute to industry-academia collaboration with partner companies and startups originating from the laboratory, with a commitment to social implementation.
  • Collaborate with other staff members on matters related to laboratory operations, including health and safety management and providing guidance to students.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a PhD or be expected to obtain one before the start of employment. Candidates with experience in international collaborative research or co-authoring papers with international collaborators are preferred.
