Since its establishment in 2007, the Advanced Institute for Materials Research (AIMR) at Tohoku University has pioneered critical research on devices and systems, weaving together the fields of materials science and mathematics. The institute has also driven initiatives to ensure these innovations reverberate into society.
Now, AIMR is seeking to appoint a new director of its Research Support Division. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Provide overall supervision and management of the Research Support Division's operations
- Assist the director of the institute in their duties, with a view to strengthening the Research Department
- Coordinate with the university and related ministries and agencies
- Promote multifaceted and active collaboration with domestic and international research institutions and industry
