The Tohoku Forum for Creativity (TFC) welcomes applications for its specially appointed assistant professor position.
Established in 2013 as the first research visiting center in Japan, TFC facilitates collaborative research through symposia and other events. The core of TFC's activities involves a thematic program devoted to problems facing humanity. Eminent researchers are hosted for extended stays to cultivate discussions and solutions within the outlined themes.
The current vacancy is a unique position in which a scientist with an advanced degree acts as a strategic planner and coordinator under the supervision of the Forum Director. Successful applicants will be tasked with arranging a series of academic programs such as conferences, workshops, and seminars in connection TFC's themes of research.
Duties will include:
-The promotion of scientific programs in liaison with scientists and various stakeholders in Japan and overseas.
-Assignments to promote international academic exchanges.
