To welcome new students to the Tohoku University family, the 2026 Entrance Ceremony will be held on April 3 at Xebio Arena Sendai.

There will be two sessions - one for undergraduates and one for graduate students. All newly enrolled students are invited to take part in the ceremony.

As always, there will also be a live stream for those unable to attend in person.

Date & time: April 3, 2026

• For undergraduates:
  9:45 - 10:20 a.m. (doors open at 8.30 a.m., please be seated by 9:35 a.m.)
• For graduate students:
  11:30 a.m. - 12:05 p.m. (doors open at 11 a.m., please be seated by 11:20 a.m.)

Venue: Xebio Arena Sendai
Address: 1-4-10 Asuto Nagamachi, Taihaku-ku, Sendai (map)

There will be no public parking at the arena on that day, so please take public transport. The nearest subway station is Nagamachi.

Please be on time and appropriately dressed for the ceremony (formal attire is recommended). As seating at the venue is limited, only one family member per enrolled student may attend.

Anyone requiring special assistance should contact the Student Affairs Planning Section as early as possible.
