Great East Japan Earthquake Memorial Symposium

The International Research Institute of Disaster Science (IRIDeS) will be holding four symposia at the 2024 Sendai Disaster Reduction and Future Forum.

Leading off the full-day event on March 9 will be the Great East Japan Earthquake Memorial Symposium, with the theme of "Inclusive disaster risk reduction that leaves no one behind." (PDF)

  • Noto Peninsula Earthquake Disaster Recovery Support Symposium
  • Co-Creation Center for Disaster Resilience Symposium (PDF)
    "Towards the construction and utilization of a disaster digital twin"
  • AEON Disaster-Resilient and Environmentally-friendly City Creation Joint Research Lab Symposium (PDF)
    "Towards the Creation of Resilient Communities"

This Japanese language event is open to all, but registration is required. Most sessions will be broadcast live online.
