Job-finding Tips for Non-Japanese Ph.D. Candidates and Post-doctoral Fellows

The PhDC Office is hosting a career development seminar for Ph.D. candidates and post-doctoral fellows at Tohoku University. This seminar is designed to help non-Japanese researchers successfully navigate the job-hunting process in Japan. Things such as the hiring period and the importance of employment continuity (as opposed to job-hopping) differ compared to other countries. Potentially the biggest question of all will be answered: how important are Japanese language skills in academia or industry positions?

Attendees will receive valuable, tailored advice for how to find a job after completing their Ph.D. or post-doctoral fellowship. Join to bring yourself one step closer to your dream job.
