The Yong P. Chen Group at Tohoku University's Institute for Materials Research is organizing a seminar where international researchers will discuss developing new ways to make and measure novel quantum materials, particularly in the field of two-dimensional (2D) and topological materials. The theme is based on the group's recent studies, which include:
- The realization of metastable pentagonal 2D materials, composed of pentagonal building blocks
- The development of a moiré magnet, created by twisting 2D antiferromagnets
The event is free to attend and participants can attend in-person or online via the Zoom link below. For further details, see here.
